THIS POLL IS CLOSED FOR VOTING

On to the second half of Round 1! We're trying to determine which Buffy episode is the fan favorite all month long. We started with 128 randomly paired episodes fighting for the title. There was some definite heat in Round 1b. Here's a rundown of those results:

"The Zeppo" beat "Help" - 687 to 244
"Amends" barely beat "Graduation Day pt 1" - 661 to 632
"Hush" beat "Lies My Parents Told Me" - 821 to 118
"Earshot" is advancing, beating "When She Was Bad" - 624 to 310
"Blood Ties" beat "Real Me" - 575 to 283
"Crush" beat "The Harvest" - 669 to 244
"This Year's Girl" is advancing, beating "The Killer in Me"- 599 to 292
"A New Maan" barely inched out "Lie to Me" - 494 to 428
"Bad Girls" beat "Killed by Death"...to death -702 to 203

"Innocence" beat "Angel" - 731 to 200
"Chosen" demolished "Into the Woods" with the largest margin - 830 to 56
"The Prom" pulled ahead of "Something Blue" - 566 to 513
"Buffy vs Dracula" beat "Spiral" - 479 to 406
"Halloween" took out Jonathan's "Superstar" - 677 to 236
"The Yoko Factor" beat "Anne" - 527 to 389
and finally
"Graduation Day pt 2" beat the ever living shit (Bitsy's words) out of "The Initiative" - 845 to 62

Looks like if Riley's in it, it gets the most bash.

Video from Dragon Con Panel

Just ran a search on You Tube and, behold, some video of the panel with Julie Benz, Kristy Swanson (I know, OMG), Charisma Carpenter, James "Smarmy" Marsters (that's my little pet name for him). It's admittedly low quality but you can hear a few of the questions that were asked. It's very sweet and Kirsty Swanson was there! I mean, seriously!

Update: Felicia Day Q&A! It's almost like you're there! Except not at all! Oh, just watch the video.

The OB, Kristy Swanson was there?

How come no one told me that THE ORIGINAL BUFFY, Kristy Swanson, was on the Buffy Panel alongside Felicia Day, Charisma Carpenter, and Julie Benz? Everyone knows I have a super soft spot in my heart for the OB.

::kicks self in the shin for not attending Dragon*Con, then kicks Bitsy real hard::

hee!

What's the Sitch? The *other* Whedonverse News of the Week

Two time Cap'n Nathan Fillion will be making an appearance at the Apple Store in Soho, NYC on September 18th. Me thinks he might also pop by Joss's Dr. Horrible event the following Monday because, why not?

Marc Blucas has been cast in the film Witchita alongside A-listers Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz; Grows "crustache".

Angel's Elizabeth Rohm will be making a guest appearance on the upcoming season of never-getting-better Heroes. She will also be on the season premier of 90210, which mean she'll probably be somewhere inside of Sunnydale High - a.k.a Torrance High School, where both 90210 and Buffy were filmed. Full circle, baby.

Angel wins the honor of "Sexiest vampire" by beating who Michelle calls "Twilight guy. " Hee! So innocent. Better than "RPatz", though.

TV Squad does Whedon's Top Ten Big Bads and gets extra points for #5 on the list. Good stuff.

TFAW.com is doing 40% off all in-stock Whedon comics from June '09 & earlier this weekend! You can also pre-order on Super Scott Allie's Exurbia over there. Look out for our exclusive interview with Scott about Exurbia this coming week.

Happy 600th Post!!

Smidge reads Buffyfest every morning, right before her minions place freshly fallen leaves all over her body.

Wowzers! I almost missed it! I had no idea our anniversary post was approaching. Congrats on 600 posts mostly well done. There was that one where the commenter told Bitsy he sucked, but fan rage has got to us all before. Ha!

*raises glass* To the next 600! *clink*
